PriceSafe

Privacy policy

Last updated 17 August 2026

PriceSafe is a Shopify app that changes product prices in bulk and puts them back again. This policy describes what it stores, why, and for how long.

What we store

What we do not store

Nothing about your customers. PriceSafe requests a single Shopify permission, write_products, which does not grant access to orders, customers, or any personal information. No customer data is received, stored, or processed by this app.

Why we keep the old prices

The price a variant held before a change is what makes a rollback exact. Without that record the app could only recalculate an estimate, which is the failure this app exists to avoid.

How long we keep it

Your price change history is kept while the app is installed, so that past changes remain reversible and auditable. When you uninstall, Shopify notifies us 48 hours later, and everything held for your store — the access token and the complete change history — is deleted.

Shopify also sends requests to disclose or erase customer data. We answer them, and there is nothing to disclose or erase, because no customer data is held.

Where it is stored

On a single server rented from Tencent Cloud, located in the United States. Data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or model training. The only other party involved is Shopify itself, which is where the data comes from.

Your choices

Uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin ends all access and starts the deletion described above. You can also ask us to delete your change history at any time while the app is installed, by writing to the address below.

GDPR and similar laws

If your store is in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to see what data is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to receive a copy of it. Those rights are offered to every merchant using this app, wherever the store is. Write to the address below and you will have an answer within 30 days.

There is not much to look through. The only data held for your store is its domain, the access token Shopify issued, and the price history described above. No customer data is received, which means a request about a customer is one this app cannot answer — those belong to Shopify and to the merchant whose store the customer bought from.
