PriceSafe

Frequently asked questions

Price changes, plans, and safe rollback

How does PriceSafe rollback work?

Before writing a change, PriceSafe stores the exact price and compare-at price of every affected variant. Rollback restores those saved values rather than trying to reverse the percentage or recalculate an estimate.

What if another app changes a price after my sale starts?

PriceSafe compares the current value with the value written by the original job. A mismatch is treated as drift: the variant is held back and reported instead of being overwritten. You decide whether to restore it anyway or leave the newer value in place.

Which products can I target?

You can filter by collection, tag, vendor, product type, title, and product status. Always inspect the preview count and sample rows before applying the rule to the complete selection.

Can PriceSafe update compare-at prices?

Yes. A rule can change price or compare-at price. When changing the selling price, you can also copy the current price into compare-at price to show a markdown. Storefront presentation still depends on the active Shopify theme and local pricing requirements.

Which plans include scheduling?

Basic and Pro include scheduled starts and automatic reverts. Free runs changes immediately, but still includes preview, saved originals, drift detection, and one-click rollback.

How many variants can one change include?

Free supports up to 50 variants per change, Basic up to 2,000, and Pro up to 100,000. The limit is checked before a job is created so a run cannot silently stop at the plan boundary.

Can I upgrade or downgrade without reinstalling?

Yes. Plans are managed on Shopify’s hosted pricing page. A merchant can move between Free, Basic, and Pro without contacting support or reinstalling PriceSafe.

What Shopify data can PriceSafe access?

PriceSafe requests only write_products. It does not request access to customers or orders. It stores the store domain, Shopify session, job configuration, and before-and-after variant values needed for job history and rollback. See the privacy policy for full details.

What happens to my data after uninstalling?

Shopify notifies PriceSafe after uninstall. The stored session and complete price-change history for that store are then deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Where can I get help?
